While saving a Brezza car in Narayana on Thursday afternoon, a speeding low floor DTC bus rammed into the subway. The bus driver, conductor and marshal were injured in the accident. The Brezza car was also damaged, but the two occupants escaped unhurt. Police pulled the bus out of the subway with the help of a crane and admitted the injured to a nearby hospital.
The conductor remains in a critical condition, while the marshal has stitches on his head. It is being told that the accident happened due to brake failure. The exact reasons will be revealed after the mechanical examination of the bus. Police is investigating by registering a case of negligence.
Bus route number 611 reached Narayana village on Thursday with passengers from Dhaula Kuan. After offloading the passengers, the driver was taking the Rohtash bus to Narayana Depot. Conductor Ramesh and Marshal Gaurav were present in the bus. In Narayana area, the bus suddenly lost control and collided with the Braja moving ahead. After the collision, the Brezza car came to the side near the subway.
During this, the driver turned the steering to avoid hitting the car again, due to which the bus entered the subway. Due to this Rohtash, Ramesh and Gaurav were injured. Gurugram residents Jasjog Singh and Iknoor Singh were aboard the Breja. Both had come to Narayana Mandi for some work. While returning, the bus hit the car from behind. Using a crane, police pulled the bus out of the subway and took all three passengers to a nearby hospital.
Mechanical examination will reveal the reasons
Police officials say that mechanical investigation of the bus will be done for the reasons of the accident, only then it will be known whether the accident happened due to brake failure of the bus or due to some other reason.
Transport Corporation ordered an inquiry into the accident
The Delhi Public Transport Corporation has ordered an inquiry into the matter of DTC bus entering the subway of Naraina. The officials have spoken of strict action. At the same time, three cases of bus accidents have come to light in Delhi in a month. Many buses in the DTC fleet are out of date. Many times accidents are also happening due to the high speed of the bus. On social media, the compulsion to run the bus for longer distances under the kilometer scheme is being held responsible for such incidents.
Union bid – buses are not repaired on time
DTC Employees Ekta Union General Secretary Manoj Sharma has alleged that the buses are not being repaired on time. The DTC depot manager and the company’s manager have colluded. Had the brakes been checked on occasion, the accident would not have happened. Corruption will be exposed in the investigation of this case.
